Our solid brass hinges are 4 inch butt hinges fitted with double phosphor washers, suitable for front doors. The hinges are sold as pairs and come supplied with wood screws.

Butt hinges are the most common type of hinge for a door and have two leaves which are fitted by cutting into the door edge and frame. Hence the name, butt hinge, as the door and frame are butted up to one another.
