The Bronze Cabin Hook is a traditional way to secure external doors, gates or garden buildings in an open position. The hooked arm latches neatly into the keep, preventing the door from blowing shut in the wind and allowing controlled ventilation. Designed to be mounted low on the door, the keep plate is fixed to the bottom edge while the hook is attached to the adjacent wall or frame. Its simple form makes it practical, reliable and easy to operate.
Cast from solid bronze, the hook has a robust feel and a smooth finish suited to outdoor and semi-exposed locations. The two finishes each offer a distinct character: Dark Bronze provides a warm, weathered look as it ages, while White Bronze delivers a cooler metallic tone that gradually deepens over time. Supplied with slotted matching countersunk screws, the cabin hook installs cleanly and pairs well with other bronze door and gate fittings for a coordinated appearance.
